Setup
Before we get started let's first take a few minutes to get us setup correctly for success. Caerus offers two resources (organizations and projects) to help organize your projects as you grow.
Organizations
An organization represent the root node in your hierarchical tree, in most cases this should match the name of your company.
Projects
A project represents a unit of work for your company. This will be helpful as you grow and try to organize multiple business endevours over time. Initially we recommend you start with only one to represent your first project.A
Let's Begin
During this getting started guide we will create a fictitious Sports Wholesale Apparel distribution company. This distributor is legally registered as "Wholesalers Associates" and their San Francisco sports apparel product line is always in high demand in the Bay Area.
In order to get setup correctly we will first create an organization for "Wholesalers Associates". In order to do so, let's click on the organizations option under resourcemanagement in the dashboard. In the Organizations section, you should see a "Create" button in the top right corner of the screen. Click on it and then fill the form with the name of the organization we want to create, in this case "Wholesalers Associates".
After we have successfully created our first organization, we can now navigate to the projects section under resourcemanagement
in the sidebar and create a project, let's call the project "Sports Apparel", setup the payment schedule Monthly and create a new credit card.
In our test environment, use the credit card with this number 4242424242424242and use any 3 digit CVC and any
expiration date in the future.
That's it! We are ready to start adding products to our project.
Manage Distributors and Brands
In order to organize the information appropriately, we will first need to create the distributors and brands that the
documents will have information on. For this guide, we will scan a document for one distributor Wine Distributors and
two brands The Ultimate Wine and Wine Distributors.
Create Distributor
First, navigate to the distributors page and on the top right corner of the page create a new distributor:

Create Brand
First, navigate to the brands page and on the top right corner of the page create a new brand:
Name: Napa Wines
